Raising Healthy Kids And The Food We Serve
When it comes to healthy habits for kids, eating habits are not on the list. Kids will eat anything that contains large amounts of sugar or salt. Why is it that they prefer the bad junk food over the “good-for-you” food? Well, one reason is that they want everything they shouldn’t have. It also is because junk food gives them the fast energy that they crave even if it only lasts for a short while. Even the crash afterwards is quickly forgotten when they get one more taste of the bad stuff. Overall, having a little junk food is OK, but kids should have the recommended daily amount of good food to stay healthy. With this in mind, you should not ban junk food altogether but moderate its consumption so that children do not get addicted to certain bad foods in the long run. After all, the stuff that goes in their body is one of the most critical elements to having healthy habits kids.
